After a tough loss on Friday night against the Blue Jays, the Yankees fired on all cylinders on Saturday afternoon in a dominating victory in the Bronx.

This season has been bipolar, to say the least, for the New York Yankees. It seems as soon as they win a ballgame they are set to lose the next one and vice-versa. However, they all looked impressive on Saturday afternoon.
Jordan Montgomery took the mound for New York and pitched a great game that they desperately needed him to have after not being able to rely on their starting pitching as of late.
The left-hander lasted six strong innings while striking out five batters and only surrendering one earned run on four hits. Monty wiggled his way in and out of trouble throughout the game and is the key reason as to why they were able to come away with a victory.
Following the lineup’s six-run outburst in the bottom of the sixth, Montgomery’s day was done and the ball was turned over to Chasen Shreve, who continued his impressive start to the season with his 0.00 ERA.

Aaron Judge began New York’s scoring in the bottom of the second with a two-run homer against Marcus Stroman, which traveled an incredible 443 feet for his sixth longball of the season.
The bats would be silent for the most part until the sixth inning when the floodgates opened in a hurry. It started with an RBI-single by Didi Gregorius followed by Aaron Judge scoring on an error by Blue Jays catcher Luke Maile.
Miguel Andujar stayed hot with a bases-clearing double, which really put the score out of reach for Toronto making it 7-1. The Yankees wound up batting around and having Brett Gardner record a sac-fly and Aaron Judge with an RBI-single.
Jonathan Holder arrived to pitch the top of the eighth and ninth with an eight-run lead and was able to retire the Blue Jays to close out the game.

The Yankees and Blue Jays will wrap up their series on Sunday afternoon when Luis Severino will take the mound and go up against former Yankee, Jaime Garcia.
